Working with our audiologists lets you:
A hearing test checks how well you hear different sounds. It helps your audiologist find out if you have hearing loss and what kind of help you might need.
If you hear ringing, buzzing, or other sounds in your ears, a tinnitus evaluation can help. We find out what might be causing the noise and how to manage it.
Too much ear wax can block your hearing. We gently and safely remove ear wax to help you hear more clearly.
This service helps people with hearing loss learn how to hear and communicate better. It may include listening practice, speech reading, and using hearing devices.
If hearing aids don’t help enough, you may be a good fit for a cochlear implant. We check your hearing and talk with you about your options.
We help you choose the right hearing aids and make sure they fit comfortably and work well for your needs.
This test checks how your hearing aids are working in your ears. It helps us make sure the sound is just right for you.
We help you take care of your hearing aids with cleaning, battery changes, and quick check-ups to keep them working well.
If your hearing aids stop working, we can fix them. We handle many common problems in our office.
We make earplugs just for your ears to protect your hearing at work, while swimming, or at loud events like concerts.
These are tools that help you hear better in certain situations, like watching TV, talking on the phone, or listening in noisy places.
Susan Rawls, Au.D. is an audiologist providing hearing aids, hearing tests, aural rehabilitation, and other audiology services in Cary, NC.
Dr. Rawls has been in the audiology profession for over 35 years. In 2006, she opened Cary Audiology Associates. After working in busy medical (ENT) offices for over 20 years, Dr. Rawls went into private practice in an effort to provide more personal and comprehensive care to her patients, in a less restrictive environment. As ninety percent of hearing loss is not medically correctible, private practice has given her the opportunity to spend more time on the assessment, and more importantly, the aural rehabilitation, which is critical for better hearing.
